Our Come-Back Coaches

Our Staff Stays Awesome!

Sum It Up may have changed its name to Swax Lax Lacrosse, but one thing that hasn’t changed is the calibre of the returning coaching staff for our camps. At Swax Lax Lacrosse, we pride ourselves in delivering a great lacrosse camp experience with the best and brightest team members. We think they’re superstars in the sport of lacrosse, and in school and life.

Girls excited about returning lacrosse coaches to Swax Lax Lacrosse camps

We’re overjoyed that the number of coaches returning to Swax Lax Lacrosse this summer is 90 percent — even better, many of the coaches are former campers!

Here’s a sample for the girl’s side:

Girls Coaches

  • Lizzie O’Neill, Boston College recruit
  • Maddie Colledge, Lafayette College recruit
  • Margaret Andersen, Colgate recruit
  • Caroline Ramsey, Cornell recruit
  • Katie Duttenhofer, Providence
  • Shea Smith, Princeton player
  • Essie Pasternak, Gettysburg recruit
  • Claire Galvin, Michigan player
  • Beth Kuyk, William & Mary player
  • Alaina Parisella, Brown player
  • Julia Doria, Business School at the University of Texas, Austin, Chi Omega sorority member, and in the business fraternity Phi Gamma Nu
  • Liza Heyl, Bucknell’s College of Management and player on the club field hockey and lacrosse teams
  • Nicole Bendush, studying occupational therapy and plans on working with children with special needs. She will be attending Rush University in Chicago to fulfill her OT degree

And for the boy’s side:

Boys Coaches

  • Jay Goldy, Fairfield
  • John McDonald, Colgate player and graduate
  • Sam Hatfield, Kenyon player
  • Brian Heyl, Providence, completing USMC PLC training this summer
  • Jack O’Neil, Providence and Coach Lizzie’s older brother
  • Owen McCarthy, Providence
  • Harry Gregory, Saint Lawrence University player
  • Andrew Sokolowski, Muhlenberg player
  • Thomas Sokolowski, Morristown-Beard player
  • Mason Guida, Morristown-Beard player
  • Charlie Guida, Morristown-Beard player
  • Kyle Gonyea, Morristown-Beard player
  • Colleen McAloon, Bowdoin recruit
  • Colin Pierce, Scranton player

Laura Gump, our founder and a coach at Kent Place, will be overseeing and managing it all. Coach Meany heads the boys camp and is also a coach at Morristown-Beard. Kaitlyn Dalziel is the director of our girls camp. She is also the head coach at Red Bank Catholic.

If your child hasn’t signed up yet, we hope you’ll sign him/her up today (sorry, camp is over for summer 2019, but we know we’ll have another great team for 2020!). Our impressive staff (we think you’ll agree) is excited to meet you and your child.

And, if you haven’t already, please help us spread the word — the coaches are eager to share their passion for lacrosse with your child and his/her friends.
