Below are descriptions of the boys lacrosse camp locations we’ll be using for this year’s summer camps.
Boys Lacrosse Camp Locations
Kent Place School, Summit, NJ
Kent Place School (KPS) usually features the largest enrollment, partly because KPS has been our home base since Sum It Up started in 2007. Notable features include: a large turf field, an indoor area for crafts, a large indoor field house with A/C in the event of inclement weather, and a grassy area for sprinkler time. Thanks to the field house, we never have to cancel camp for thunderstorms or extreme heat; space constraints and the large number of campers prevent us from running a full range of lacrosse drills and instruction if we need to be indoors all day.
Pingry School, Short Hills, NJ
The newly renovated campus at Pingry in Short Hills offers several beautiful grass fields, a large tented area for lunch and arts & crafts, and a state-of-the-art playground. We also have access to a large gym for indoor games. Thanks to the gym, we will not need to cancel camp for thunderstorms or extreme heat. The Pingry camps will host boys and girls at the same time.
Tatlock Field, Summit, NJ
Tatlock, or Investors Bank Field as it is now known, has been a favorite location of ours. We primarily use the “Hidden Field,” a medium-sized grass field; however, at various times, we have use of the upper turf field and a shady playground.
Please note: while we can take shelter in the locker rooms during a thunderstorm, there is not sufficient space to run activities. Therefore, in the event of terrible weather, we may need to cancel camp. For extreme heat, we may offer an early dismissal at 1:00 pm.
